Cancellation Policy

This policy explains how cancellations work on Lensdrop. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to the terms outlined below. This policy does not affect any statutory rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.
Cancelling Your Subscription
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. No questions asked, no hoops to jump through. You will not be charged again after cancellation.
What Happens After Cancellation
When you cancel, your paid plan remains active until the end of your current billing period (monthly or annual). You will not be charged again after cancellation. Once the billing period ends, your account will automatically move to the free plan.
What Changes on the Free Plan
After your billing period ends, the following free plan limits apply:
- Only your most recent event remains fully editable
- Older events become read-only - you can still view them, but cannot upload photos, change settings, or share them
- Galleries on read-only events are closed to clients
- Only 1 portfolio category is visible on your public page; additional categories are hidden but not deleted
- New events created on the Free plan have 30-day photo retention. Events created on a paid plan keep their original retention period
- Existing team members are not deleted, but they cannot log in or access the studio
We do not delete your data when you downgrade - everything stays safe. Upgrade back to Pro anytime to restore full access to all your events, galleries, and portfolio.
Plan Upgrades (UPI Subscriptions)
Due to payment provider limitations, UPI subscriptions cannot be upgraded in place. When you upgrade from one paid plan to another using UPI, your current subscription is cancelled and a new subscription is created for the higher plan.
By confirming the upgrade, you acknowledge that:
- Your current subscription ends immediately — any remaining days in your billing cycle are forfeited
- A new subscription at the higher plan rate begins upon successful payment
- If you cancel or abandon checkout after confirming, your current plan will not be restored and no refund is provided for the unused portion

Resubscribing
You can resubscribe to a paid plan at any time. Your existing data and events will still be there.
Account Deletion
If you want to delete your account entirely, you can do so from your account settings. Upon deletion:
- Your personal data, events, photos, and gallery links will be permanently deleted immediately
- Billing records may be retained for up to 7 years as required by tax and accounting laws
This action is permanent and cannot be undone. We recommend exporting any data you need before deleting your account.
Your Rights
Under the GDPR, India's DPDP Act, and other applicable privacy laws, you have the right to request deletion of your personal data at any time, regardless of your subscription status. For more information, see our Privacy Policy.
