What ShootProof costs in 2026
ShootProof's ladder, as listed in August 2026: a Free plan holding 100 photos within 5GB, then 1,500 photos and 75GB at $10.99 a month billed annually or $12.99 monthly, 5,000 photos and 250GB at $19.99 or $21.99, 25,000 photos and 1,250GB at $26.67 or $31.99, and an Unlimited plan at $50 or $60. Every paid tier sells commission free. Check shootproof.com before you decide, because plans move.
The commission-free part is genuinely good and worth saying plainly: ShootProof does not take a percentage of your print or digital sales on a paid plan. If selling through the gallery is central to how you work, that alone can justify the subscription.
The photo count is the real ceiling
Most gallery tools meter storage. ShootProof meters photos as well, and for high-volume work the photo count binds long before the gigabytes do. A single wedding at 800 delivered frames, or one school sports day across a dozen teams, and the 1,500 plan is a third gone from one job.
That matters because the count is cumulative across everything you are still hosting. Delivered galleries you have not deleted keep occupying the plan, so the tier you need is set by your whole back catalogue rather than by the shoot in front of you. The usual workaround is deleting old galleries to make room, which is a strange thing to be doing with work a client might still ask for.
The subscription mismatch
A monthly plan bills for time. Photography revenue arrives in shoots. Sports and school photographers feel this most sharply, because the season has an off-season and the plan does not.
Say you deliver twenty galleries a year, most of them inside two busy months. On the 5,000 plan at $19.99 billed annually you pay $239.88 for the year whether you shot in February or not. Lensdrop charges once per gallery, sized to the shoot: Small 5GB for $2.99, Standard 15GB for $6.99, Large 30GB for $12.99, XL 50GB for $19.99. Twenty Standard galleries is $139.80, with nothing owed in the quiet months and no photo count accumulating against you. One free gallery at 5GB comes with the account.

When ShootProof is still the right answer
If your galleries are a shopfront, stay. ShootProof sells prints, albums and digitals with a real lab network behind it, handles sales tax, and takes no commission for doing it. Lensdrop deliberately has none of that: it is a delivery tool, it never touches your clients' money, and if print sales are part of your business model it will not replace that half of the job.
Contracts, invoicing and studio management are the same story. ShootProof carries them. Lensdrop does one thing, which is getting the photographs to the people who paid for them, quickly and without a signup.
The switch makes sense when you are paying every month for a shelf sized to your busiest week, when the photo count is deciding your tier, and when your clients want the files rather than a print store.
